Our search for locally made or Canadian goodies allows us to meet amazing humans that craft superb, tasty little treats.
We met Caroline Marelli at her boutique on Île d’Orleans. She told us about how the Nougaterie came to be. Patrick Augier and Caroline Marelli are deeply immersed in the culinary arts and have been in business creating foods, pastries, and now confectionery for over 35 years.
When, in 2006, they became resident of Québec, they opened a boutique with a range of local products. The idea came a few years later to produce all of the little treats that they offered at their store. Now they concoct their own sweets with love and passion, in collaboration with Pierre, the Master Confectioner.
Among their sweet treasures, discover the delights of honeymoons, the exquisite creations of their caramel bonbons and sauces. Of course, their nougats come in all their forms to satisfy all taste preferences. It’s up to you to explore them!
At Pêches & Poivre in Almonte, we carry an assortment of single bars and bags of bouchées (bites) of nougat, two different caramel sauces (maple butter and fleur de sel), caramel bonbons, Nouganoise (nougat cover in milk chocolate), and Honeymoons.
