When I was young, every spring my mom would start her spring cleaning. Everything came out of the cupboards to get a good wash, the windows were scrubbed, the walls wiped and appliances got a thorough going over! The house smelled spic and span!
Hop! Hop! Hop! Please note that we will be:
- Open Good Friday March 30 10am to 5pm
- Open Saturday March 31 10am to 5pm
- Closed Easter Sunday April 1st
- Open Easter Monday April 2nd, 11am to 4pm
Easter is not only a Christian tradition or the matter of the Easter Bunny, for me it is a sign that spring has arrived. Goodbye winter, with your bitter winds, snow boots and mitts, and hello shoes, warmer weather, longer daylight hours, the blooming of flowers, the budding of leaves, and the confident spring song of our native chickadee!
Do you remember the Cherry Blossom? The candy where sits a maraschino cherry covered in cherry syrup, nestled in a mixture of chocolate, coconut, and pieces of roasted peanuts? Did you love the sensual liquid? Well, we just brought in a grown up version of this child’s favourite.
- Christmas madness, done.
- Inventory, done.
- A week of rest, done.
We are back and waiting for new items to come in. YESSSS! But, but, but we need to make space for all the new kitchen gadgets, table linens, and food. What to do?
