Just to recap, in our Cheese of the Month program, we select one Great Canadian Cheese, tell you a little about it and then donate 10% of the proceeds of sales of this monthly cheese to a local charitable organization. Last year, through various initiatives, Peches & Poivre donated in the neighbourhood of $1000.00 to local causes. When I was young, every spring my mom would start her spring cleaning. Everything came out of the cupboards to get a good wash, the windows were scrubbed, the walls wiped and appliances got a thorough going over! The house smelled spic and span!

Easter is not only a Christian tradition or the matter of the Easter Bunny, for me it is a sign that spring has arrived. Goodbye winter, with your bitter winds, snow boots and mitts, and hello shoes, warmer weather, longer daylight hours, the blooming of flowers, the budding of leaves, and the confident spring song of our native chickadee!
