When I was young, every spring my mom would start her spring cleaning. Everything came out of the cupboards to get a good wash, the windows were scrubbed, the walls wiped and appliances got a thorough going over! The house smelled spic and span!

I think I smell a wabbit. Or maybe many! Jumpity jump jump on in for wabbity Easter treats. From delicious caramel filled mini bunnies, or a box of ducks all lined up in a row (both great as place settings), to milk chocolate Easter bunnies complete with carrots and a slew of other treats for children and adults too.
Having switched to decaf coffee several years ago, I was on the hunt for a decent decaf bean. I learned quickly how incredibly hard it is to find a good decaffeinated coffee beans for use at home. Many are bitter, over roasted, and/or completely lacking in flavour. A couple of years ago, I ‘stumbled’ on something in tiny Ste Anne de Bellevue, Quebec on Montreal’s west island.
Easter is not only a Christian tradition or the matter of the Easter Bunny, for me it is a sign that spring has arrived. Goodbye winter, with your bitter winds, snow boots and mitts, and hello shoes, warmer weather, longer daylight hours, the blooming of flowers, the budding of leaves, and the confident spring song of our native chickadee!
