Le mouton noir is semi-soft cheese made from pasteurized cow’s milk.

Under its black edible film is a smooth and creamy white cheese with a slightly tangy taste of fresh milk.

Excellent melt qualities. A good replacement for cow’s milk mozzarella.

Food pairing

It is perfect with an amber beer or a fruity, vibrant wine such as Pinot Gris.

Pick up a piece of Le Mouton noir, June’s Cheese of the Month, and know that you are helping to contribute to a valuable community initiative; 10% of the proceeds from sales of this special cheese will be donated directly to Hub Hospice Palliative Care.
