This weekend, May 7 & 8, 2016 Almonte has something for everyone!

The sun will make an appearance so it should be wonderful weather to take in the many activities going on. Whether you are an art lover, liking all things made by hand, or a Batman, Superman or  Star Trek fan, you will find something to amuse you and the whole family.

Pêches et Poivre – Food Sampling

At Pêches et Poivre, Alvaro and David, two Spanish men who work directly with the producers in Spain, will be on hand to tempt you with Spanish olive oils and canned seafood and answer questions about these tasty treats!

We will also have several artisanal cheeses out for you to taste.

Art in the Attic

imagesArt In the Attic is an art show and sale where local artists of all ages and experiences celebrate their creativity!  It takes place on Fri May 6, 7-9pm, Sat May 7, 10am-7pm, and Sun May 8, 10am-4pm at the Almonte Old Town Hall.

There will be art from over two dozen artists in almost every media including oils, acrylic, watercolour, glass, photography, textile, jewelry, pottery and more.  Many of your favorite artists from the Almonte and Area Artists Association are returning in addition to some new guests.

Comic Book Day

comicdayThis is the first annual Free Comic Book Day in Almonte on Sat May 7!  The event is being brought to the town by the Almonte Fair Board and Action & Video Toy Store.  It starts at the Almonte Fair Grounds and runs from noon to 4 pm.  Families can go to over 20 stops in downtown Almonte to find their comics, cards and colouring books.

Cheerfully Made Markets

WidgetSpring16QPHummFormerly known as the Handmade Harvest Craft Show, Cheerfully Made Markets proudly hosts more than 50 different hand-makers each day.

May 7 & 8 from 10am to 4pm at the Almonte Agricultural Hall.
