The cheesemaker: Fromagerie Domaine Féodal, Berthiéville, Québec

Guy Dessureault and Lise Mercier run Domaine Féodal cheese dairy, situated in Berthierville in Quebec’s Lanaudière region. The couple specializes in the creation of bloomy rind Camembert-type cheeses. Crafted with love and artisanal skill by these master cheesemakers, the cheeses feature qualities and characteristics unique to the Camembert variety.

The cheese: L’inspiré

Cheese of the month L'INSPIRÉA soft cheese made from pasteurized cow’s milk.

L’Inspiré is an artisanal camembert-style cheese characterized by it’s edible, downy white rind. It has a pronounced taste of farmhouse cream, delicate aroma of fresh mushrooms and has a slightly fruity flavour.

It is more than a simple soft cheese made from cow’s milk. It is a marriage of flavours made in heaven!

For optimal flavour, serve at room temperature.

Pick up a piece of L’Inspiré, May’s Cheese of the Month, and know that you are helping to contribute to a valuable community initiative; 10% of the proceeds from sales of this special cheese will be donated directly to Hub Hospice Palliative Care.
